PhotoArts Collector

Sure. I have read most of the books about blogging, read the articles in magazines, and visited websites. Ingesting all that information can stuff your mind with a lot of frivolous words. But  the main thing about blogging, as far as I can tell, is to really, simply do it. So, here I am, again.

This week my studio partner and I are moving our offices to another location. We are both excited about the move because it will give us both a fresh start… a new direction. He has been at this location for almost 20 years, while I have only been here about a year. With the economy in the can and a new presidency poised (or is that hovering?) to take over, what better time to move could there be? It will be a time to rethink our business structure. Pat (Berret) is more the commercial photographer, while I am more the publishing, managing, and organizing type of photographer. We both shoot fineart nudes, and are continually investigating areas of commerciality for that genre. They seem, however, to be few and far between. I guess we will just have to keep shooting and know that when the time is right…

My main task for the new year is to promote the work of other fine art photographers through my new program, ta-da, PhotoArts Collector. This is a system that will allow photographers to get their work out there and in the hands of people who may buy their images: collectors, galleries, museums, etc. Click here to find out more, if you are intersted.
